Most of us know the value of insurance. We have medical, life, dental, vision, renters, homeowners, auto…all for the specific purpose of keeping us secure in the most potentially vulnerable areas of out lives. But there is one form of protection that people so often forget, and certainly to their cost. That is travel insurance.

Whether you have planned a trip out of country, or just out of state, it is important to make sure that you are covered in the case of any eventuality. We are most vulnerable away from home, where things are familiar. So often people will focus on the anxieties of planning a trip, and ignore what could potentially happen on it. That means that when something does occur, they are never ready for it.

Imagine being out of the country when a natural disaster hits. Maybe you become ill and have to stay in a hospital, or have an injury and have to be seen to in an emergency room. Maybe your hotel burns down, or even on the less dramatic side you lose your luggage.

From something simple like losing your favorite pair of sunglasses, to something more extreme like being trapped in a tsunami, travel insurance is always a needed accessory for your trip.
